How HSK 3 Speaking Part 2 works
You hear a question and answer it aloud. Your answer is recorded.
At the lower levels a short, direct answer in a full sentence is enough; at the advanced level you are expected to give a fuller, organised answer. Relevance and correctness count for more than length.

How many questions are in HSK 3 Speaking Part 2?
10. It is part 2 of 3 in the HSK 3 Speaking section, which has 27 questions and lasts about 17 minutes, for 100 points.
How is HSK 3 Speaking Part 2 marked?
By trained examiners, not automatically. Your answer is marked against set criteria: whether the task is done, how accurate and varied the language is, and how well it is organised. At HSK 3 the speaking section is the separate HSKK exam, with a certificate of its own.
Is pinyin printed at HSK 3?
No. At HSK 3 the paper is printed in characters only, so you need to recognise the characters themselves.
Do I need long answers?
Not at HSK 3 — a complete sentence is enough. At HSK 7–9 give a developed answer.
Is the question printed?
No, it is only heard.
