You hear a short passage — a news item, a fact, a small story or an idea explained — and choose which of four printed statements agrees with it. There is no separate question: the task is always “which of these is consistent with what you heard”.
The wrong options are close paraphrases with one thing changed: a number, a cause, a direction of change, a negative. You need a precise understanding of the passage, not just its topic.
